Mack Precast Concrete Highway Barrier are designed to realign stray vehicles and also reduce their speed. Upon impact, precast concrete barrier partially lift the vehicle off the pavement, which decreases the lateral resistance force between tiers and pavement. Once this force is minimized, the barrier can effectively realign and slow the stray vehicle to protect working crews.
Concrete Barrier have been officially tested and passed the crash test set forth in NCHRP (National Cooperative Highway Research Program) Report 350.
Mack Industries is approved by both Federal Highway Administration and Michigan Department of Transportation to meet recent mandated requirements.
Our Michigan and Florida plants are licensed producers of J-J Hooks highway safety barrier.
